The poem describes the beauty of London in the early morning. Bathed in the morning sun, the city becomes one with the adjacent fields and sky overhead. The air is smokeless and the whole atmosphere is the column the sun has never shone more beautifully even on natural objects, such as valleys, rock, and hills. The whole city appears to be quite different from the vibrant city of the day. The city has a symbolic heart which is sleeping. In the poem, Wordsworth integrated the city into the general vision of the countryside by breaking the barrier between the two. He has shown that the city is also a part of its Nature.

কবিতাটি সকালের সৌন্দর্যের লন্ডন শহরের বর্ণনা দেয়। সকালের সূর্যালোক স্নাত নগরী সংলগ্ন প্রান্তর ও মাথার ওপরের আকাশের সঙ্গে এক হয়ে যায়। বাতাস ধোঁয়াহীন এবং সমগ্র পরিবেশ শান্ত। উপত্যকা, পাহাড় -পর্বত ইত্যাদির মতো প্রাকৃতিক বস্তুকে সূর্য আগে কখনো এমন সুন্দরভাবে আলোর বন্যায় প্লাবিত করেনি। দিনের প্রাণচঞ্চল নগরীর থেকে সম্পূর্ণ ভিন্নরূপের উপস্থাপিত হয়েছে সমগ্র নগরী। নগরীটি এক পরিকী হৃদয় আছে যা নিদ্রামগ্ন। এই কবিতায় ওয়ার্ডসওয়ার্থ দুয়ের মধ্যেকরে ব্যবধান মিটিয়ে নগরীকে পল্লী অঞ্চলে সঙ্গে একীভূত করেছেন। নগরীকে প্রকৃতির অংশ হিসেবে দেখিয়েছেন কবি।
